One Card, No Subscription: Watermark-Free Download Options
Compare one-card purchases from GreetingCardGo, Greetings Island, and Create Greeting, including account requirements, output types, and what each payment covers.
On this page
| Tool | Free output | One-time option | Output and purchase scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| GreetingCardGo | PNG with a brand watermark | US$2.99; no renewal | Watermark-free PNG for one saved card; later edits to that card remain unlocked. Not all Pro benefits. |
| Greetings Island | Free designs can be edited and shared; limits depend on card type | Official help lists US$4.49 for eligible card watermark removal | Applies to eligible flat cards. Official help says folded-card watermarks cannot be removed. Check the design checkout. |
| Create Greeting | Text-only hosted card with an ad before opening | A$3.99 AUD; no subscription | Own media, ad-free opening and PDF are listed in the paid card. Not the same deliverable as a standalone PNG. |
You do not need a subscription just to buy one greeting card. The important question is what the single payment covers: one saved card, one design, a download, or a hosted card with extra media. A watermark-free image and an ad-free hosted experience are not the same purchase.
Disclosure: This comparison is written by the GreetingCardGo team, not an independent reviewer. We checked the linked official pages on October 9, 2026 and inspected our visitor editor. We did not buy a card from any of these services or verify their final paid files. Prices below retain their original currencies; no currency conversion or cheapest-product ranking is implied.
GreetingCardGo: one saved card, not every Pro feature
Our pricing page lists a one-time US$2.99 purchase for one saved card. It unlocks high-resolution, watermark-free exports and future edits to the same card. A copy or a newly created card needs its own unlock. The purchase does not include subscription editing tools or apply to all your cards.
You can edit and replace a photo before signing in. Free PNG downloads include a brand watermark. Saving, creating a hosted share link, and purchasing an unlock require an account. The lightweight editor's standard PNG implementation uses a 600 × 400 canvas rendered at 2×; check the actual downloaded file rather than relying on a DPI label.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are different products: the current prices are US$6.99 and US$29.99. There is no need to choose either if you only want to unlock one saved card. Applicable checkout conditions remain the authority for a purchase.
Greetings Island: check whether the card is flat or folded
Greetings Island's pricing policy describes free designs and single-design purchases alongside subscriptions. Its watermark-removal help page lists US$4.49 for a card, and distinguishes eligible flat cards from folded cards whose watermarks cannot be removed.
That help page was last updated in June 2024, so confirm the current design's Print or Download screen before paying. We have not verified its final paid file, exact pixel dimensions, account requirement for downloading, or how edits after payment affect the purchase. Do not apply an invitation price to a greeting card or assume every design has identical terms.
Create Greeting: a hosted card with media and PDF
Create Greeting's official pricing section describes a free text-only hosted card with an ad before opening, and a one-time A$3.99 AUD option for personal media, PDF download and ad-free opening. Its published workflow lets you start without an account and asks you to sign in when publishing.
This is a different format from GreetingCardGo's standalone PNG. A multi-page browser card may be a better fit if the opening experience, video or audio matters more than a single image. We have not purchased its PDF, checked exact output dimensions or determined whether a downloaded file carries branding. Ad-free opening should not be relabeled as a verified watermark-free download.
Choose by what you need to send
- One image attachment: start with the photo card workflow and verify the crop, dimensions and watermark on your downloaded image.
- A flat printable design: check the specific Greetings Island card and its download terms, not only the product's general pricing page.
- A hosted multi-page card with media: compare Create Greeting's paid media and PDF option against your recipient's needs.
- No payment: use a free path if its watermark or opening ad is acceptable. Free to begin editing is not necessarily free to obtain every final format.
Before paying, check the currency, account requirement, exact card or design being unlocked, renewal terms and final output format. Save the purchase terms with your receipt. For a photo birthday card, follow our template walkthrough; for our current offers, use the pricing page.
